Job summary

Altis Technology is seeking a Senior QA Analyst for a Montreal-based, hybrid role. You will perform hands-on manual testing across frontend, API, and data-validation tasks within an Agile team and contribute to high-quality releases.

You will own test scripts in qTest, coordinate with developers and QA colleagues, and drive thorough regression coverage while managing Jira tickets and test artifacts in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA or software testing experience.
• Experience creating and maintaining test scripts in qTest.
• Advanced Jira experience in Agile delivery.
• API testing with Postman and SQL database validation.
• Integration and end-to-end testing across web apps.
• Retail app testing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, smoke, exploratory, API, and data validation testing.
• Create and maintain manual test scripts and regression coverage in qTest.
• Manage assigned Jira tickets, statuses, blockers, and testing progress.
• Prepare test data, validate results, capture evidence, raise defects when criteria unmet.
• Collaborate with QA and development teams to troubleshoot and maintain coverage.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate quality risks and release readiness.

Location: Montreal, QC, Hybrid, 2 days on-site per week
Language: Strong written and spoken English required; bilingual English/French is an asset
Duration: Contract until the end of March, 35 hours per week / 7 hours per day
Hourly Rate: $50.00 to $70.00 per hour

About the Opportunity

Were looking for a Senior QA Analyst to join a collaborative technology team supporting a large-scale retail solution. This is a hands-on manual testing role focused on helping a fast-moving project successfully reach the finish line, with exposure to front-end web applications, integrations, APIs, and data validation.

Youll join an established team of QA professionals where knowledge sharing and collaboration are central to how work gets done. With a QA Lead providing the overall testing structure and strategy, youll have the autonomy to take ownership of assigned work, execute efficiently, and contribute to high-quality releases within an Agile environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Youll execute manual functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, smoke, exploratory, API, and data validation testing.
• Youll create and maintain manual test scripts and regression coverage in qTest.
• Youll manage assigned Jira tickets, keeping statuses, comments, blockers, and testing progress current.
• Youll prepare test data, validate results, capture test evidence, and raise clear defects when acceptance criteria are not met.
• Youll collaborate closely with QA colleagues and development teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain coverage across multiple retail modules.
• Youll participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate quality risks, defect status, and release readiness.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA or software testing experience, with strong hands-on manual testing expertise.
• Extensive experience creating and maintaining test scripts in qTest.
• Advanced Jira experience within an Agile delivery environment.
• Experience with API testing using Postman and database validation using SQL.
• Strong experience with integration and end-to-end testing across web-based applications.
• Retail application testing experience is an asset.
• Strong collaboration, communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to execute autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
