Job summary

Jobtailor in Toronto, ON is seeking an experienced QA Analyst to lead manual testing within a product team, while progressively driving automation and quality goals across the development lifecycle.

You will design test plans, create test cases, execute integration, system, functional and UAT tests, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with developers, product managers and designers to improve processes and ensure quality across releases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA experience focusing on manual testing within a product pod.
• Experience across all testing lifecycle phases: requirement analysis, test design, execution, automation.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and modern testing trends.
• Experience with automation scripting and collaborating with developers-in-test.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-time work experience in QA with a primary focus on manual testing within a product pod, requiring deep, in-depth knowledge of the product system
• Experience with all phases of the testing lifecycle with a strong focus on requirement analysis, gap analysis, test case creation, execution and automation
• Proficiency of testing processes, agile, DevOps methodologies and latest trends and technologies
• Collaborate with developer-in-test to design, implement and maintain automation test scripts
• Experience with payment scheduling and payment processing systems is preferable
• Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks: CI servers, RSpec and Ruby (or any other OOP language)
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Proficient in cross browser and mobile testing
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus
• Successful background and credit check, among other verifications, as a condition of employment
