Job summary

Altimetrik in Canada seeks an experienced Python Developer with 8+ years to join our software engineering team in Mississauga. You will build backend services, process data, and contribute to AI/ML initiatives using FastAPI, Django, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch and TensorFlow in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

This role emphasizes containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, strong SQL skills, and designing components that integrate into new or existing systems.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience as Python Developer.
• Proficiency with Python libraries for backend, data processing, and AI/ML (FastAPI/Flask/Django, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Experience with SQL/PL-SQL and RDBMS.
• Experience with AI development frameworks and concepts, including RAG, MCP, and LLMs.
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to think strategically and coordinate with resources outside of direct control.
• Capable of writing and building components to integrate into new or existing systems.
• Documentation experience for complex software components.
• Ready to work within a collaborative environment with teams.
• Creative thinking for identifying new opportunities.
