Senior Python Developer with AWS

This is with a global IT services firm for a leading investment/wealth management services firm. Client Location is downtown Toronto Ontario, close to TTC and GO service. Hybrid - In Office 4 days per week. Contract - 6 months, possible renewal.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage timelines/deliverables within the team towards the successful delivery of projects.
2. Design software solutions by interacting with portfolio managers, traders, operations staff and peers to understand requirements.
3. Develop solutions that are in line with client's technology biases, deliver efficiency and scalability, and enable new trading activities.
4. Provide knowledge transfer to team members and support staff through application demos, walkthroughs, and documentation.

Mandatory Skills:

1. 5+ years' experience in Python in an enterprise environment, covering the whole development life cycle.
2. Must have good communication skills, strong client-facing skills and able to manage client's expectations.
3. Strong technical skills with AWS technologies such as Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3 as a BA on IT projects.
4. Strong technical skills with Terraform.
5. Experience with production-level programming.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. Python and Java Development background.
2. Capital Markets domain knowledge.
