Job Title: Senior Python Developer

Term: Long term contract plus extension

Job Description:

As part of this role, you will be responsible for data extraction and data analysis from structured and unstructured sources. You will develop systems to clean results to build predictive and prescriptive models and implement them in a production environment by partnering with technology and business partners. You will have to address complex problems involving financial data with specific focus on credit risk management. You will have to have an open and adaptive mindset to learn new and advanced models in LLM and GenAI and bring in innovative solutions to complex business problems.

Responsibilities:

1. Architect, design, and implement robust Python-based solutions.
2. Lead global technology teams across different time zones, enabling a hybrid work model.
3. Drive Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) principle-based development and mentor team members to leverage advanced Python coding techniques and features.
4. Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements.

Qualifications:

1. PhD or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of industry experience as a data scientist, specializing in ML Modeling, Ranking, Recommendations, or Personalization systems.
3. 5+ years of experience designing and developing scalable and reliable machine learning systems for training, inference, monitoring, and iteration.
4. Strong background in ML/DL/LLM algorithms, model architectures, and training techniques.
5. Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, PySpark, TensorFlow, or other analytical/model-building programming languages.
6. Proficiency with tools and LLMs.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience in GenAI/LLMs projects.
2. Familiarity with distributed data/computing tools (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MySQL).
3. Background in financial business like banking, risk management.
4. Should be familiar with capital markets and financial instruments and modeling.
