Job summary

Kake, a remote-first, people-first global community of senior engineers, is seeking a Senior AI/LLM Engineer with strong Python to design, build, and productionize LLM-powered applications at scale.

You will own end-to-end features, from prototyping to production deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fully remote setting. This role offers USD compensation and global collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming experience with backend systems.
• Experience building and deploying AI/LLM-powered features at scale.
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines, embeddings and vector databases.
• Proficient with containerized development (Docker) and API services.
• Experience evaluating AI outputs for quality, safety, and regression.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered features and applications using Python.
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs exposing AI capabilities.
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines and vector search strategies.
• Design prompts, agents, and orchestration flows using LangChain/LlamaIndex.
• Integrate with LLM providers and manage cost, latency, and quality.
