Job summary

RBC is seeking a pragmatic AI engineer to design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI agents and LLM-powered workflows. You will integrate LangChain/LlamaIndex, build robust asynchronous pipelines, and expose capabilities via RESTful APIs in a secure OpenShift environment.

The role emphasizes PostgreSQL-backed data models, containerization with Docker, and strong emphasis on prompt safety and enterprise security patterns. 2–4 years of Python experience with Django/DRF is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on Python development with Django and DRF.
• Experience building and deploying LLM-powered apps via OpenAI/Claude/AWS Bedrock.
• Strong prompt engineering, tool calling, and multi-turn AI patterns.
• Experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex for workflow orchestration and RAG.
• PostgreSQL expertise: schemas, raw SQL, complex data models.
• Async Python (asyncio, sync_to_async) and background task processing.
• RESTful API design with error handling and versioning.
• Docker and OpenShift or Kubernetes containerization and deployment.
• Security: OAuth 2.0, API keys, and secret management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI agents and LLM-powered workflows using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
• Build robust agentic workflows with LangChain/LlamaIndex, including multi-step pipelines and RAG.
• Create asynchronous background task systems for long-running AI workloads with PostgreSQL backends.
• Develop RESTful APIs to expose AI capabilities to frontend apps and downstream services.
• Integrate ML models and AI services into enterprise apps with embedding and document processing.
• Design PostgreSQL schemas for versioned data, audit trails, and session state.
• Deploy AI applications on OpenShift using Docker; ensure reliability, security, and scalability.
• Apply enterprise security patterns: OAuth 2.0, SSL, and credential management.
• Incorporate prompt safety and output validation for production-grade AI.
