Prime Management Group Inc. in Brampton, Ontario, is recruiting a Senior Purchasing Manager for a metal fabrication manufacturer.

The role leads strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and purchasing initiatives to improve costs and supplier performance across multiple facilities. You will report to the Director of Purchasing and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Finance on quotations, launches and improvement projects.

Formación

• 8–10 years of progressive purchasing, procurement or supply chain experience in manufacturing, including support for multiple facilities.
• Direct purchasing experience with steel, fabricated components, industrial supplies or related manufacturing commodities.
• Proven success in strategic sourcing, supplier management and commercial negotiations.
• Strong analytical, financial, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
• A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations or a related discipline. SCMP, CPSM, CPM or an equivalent designation is an asset.
• Experience in metal fabrication, automotive or industrial manufacturing.

Responsabilidades

• Develop sourcing strategies for steel, raw materials, fabricated components, MRO supplies, capital equipment and services.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, contracts and commercial terms, driving cost savings and long-term value.
• Select, qualify and manage suppliers, addressing performance issues and supply chain risks.
• Support purchasing teams across multiple facilities, resolving shortages and supplier escalations.
• Lead customs inquiries and assess duties, tariffs, classifications, country-of-origin corrections and duty drawback opportunities.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Finance on quotations, new launches and improvement projects.
• Monitor purchasing metrics, strengthen processes and mentor buyers and plant purchasing personnel.

Senior Purchasing Manager

Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, you will lead strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and purchasing initiatives to improve costs, strengthen supplier performance and ensure continuity of supply. This role works closely with plant teams and corporate purchasing to support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
