Job summary

Edelman is seeking a Director of Public Affairs to serve as a senior advisor, leading public affairs, government relations, and stakeholder engagement strategies for clients. The role requires navigating policy environments, managing client relationships, and contributing to business growth.

The successful candidate will have deep experience in government, politics, or advocacy, with strong judgment, initiative, and collaboration across internal teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients

Qualifications

5–10 years of experience in government, public affairs, public policy, or related fields.
Experience developing and executing public affairs and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Strong understanding of government decision-making processes and policy development.
Experience engaging with elected officials, public servants, and industry leaders.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day client accounts and advisory work in public affairs and stakeholder engagement.
Develop and execute integrated public affairs, government relations, and issue-management strategies.
Identify risks and opportunities and provide actionable guidance to clients.
Manage client relationships independently and contribute to business development and revenue growth.
Oversee project delivery, coach junior staff, and ensure high-quality, timely work.
