Job summary

QuadReal Property Group in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to provide accurate financial reporting for our real estate portfolio. You will produce statements, analyze variances and support month-end close with strong attention to detail.

The role requires CPA designation or equivalent experience, at least five years in commercial/retail property accounting, and proficiency in Yardi and Excel.

Qualifications

• Qualified or enrolled CPA designation or relevant work experience in full cycle property accounting.
• Minimum 5 years commercial/retail property accounting experience, including some supervision of staff.
• Knowledge of Yardi is an asset and proficiency in Excel is expected.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly and/or quarterly financial statements as specified by QuadReal policy/requirements.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and review working papers in an organized way.
• Set up and maintain tenant recoveries and operating cost allocations in Yardi.
• Monitor cash flows, ensure distributions and reconciliations are accurate.
• Support audits and year-end adjustments for assigned properties.
• Collaborate with leasing teams and asset managers to ensure accurate lease accounting.
