A well-established property management company is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their finance team. Focused exclusively on residential properties, this position offers a stable, hands‑on accounting role ideal for professionals during or after their CPA designation who are ready to take ownership of financial management within a growing team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you’ll manage end-to-end financial processes for a residential property portfolio. With recent turnover in the team, this role presents an excellent opportunity to bring clarity, structure, and strong technical insight to the function.

What You’ll Do

• Lead month-end close processes for multiple residential properties
• Manage tenant billing, reconciliations, and cash applications
• Prepare detailed financial reports and variance analyses for stakeholders
• Oversee AR/AP and ensure accurate lease accounting practices
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities tied to property operations
• Mentor junior accounting team members when applicable

What You Bring

• 2–3 years of experience in property or commercial real estate accounting, or strong technical accounting experience from a firm
• CPA designation in progress or completed
• Excellent understanding of lease accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Strong Excel skills and experience with property or ERP systems
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple portfolios
• Clear communication and ability to collaborate with internal teams
