Job summary

WSP in Canada, in the Greater Toronto Area, is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Utilities to lead complex utility coordination for rail and transit infrastructure through planning to construction. You will ensure safety, efficiency, and lasting community impact.

You will collaborate with hydro, gas, telecom, and municipal partners, apply Ontario codes and regulations, and mentor junior staff. Requires 8+ years in utilities, strong design review, and effective stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of utilities investigation, coordination, or design on large infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing utilities during the construction phase.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario regulations, codes, and frameworks for utilities and civil infrastructure.
• Experience working with agencies such as MTO, Metrolinx, TTC, and municipal stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret and review complex design drawings across disciplines.
• Experience developing Utility Conflict Plans, matrices, and relocation strategies.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills within complex project environments.

• University degree or college diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in utilities investigation, coordination, or design on large infrastructure projects
• Proven experience managing utilities during the construction phase of projects

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 – $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 – $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $94,100 – $124,900

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
