Job summary

WSP in Toronto, ON is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator for Rail & Transit. You will support complex programs, coordinate schedules, and ensure safe, high‑quality delivery.

Ideal candidates have a university degree in engineering or related field, 5+ years of rail/ transit experience, and a track record in budgeting, scheduling, and risk management. P.Eng is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project coordination within transportation, infrastructure, or engineering environments.
• Experience with rail and transit projects, including railway infrastructure systems and components.
• Experience supporting project planning, risk management, cost tracking, and schedule management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities, schedules, and deliverables to keep initiatives on track.
• Support Project Managers with documentation, reporting, and compliance.
• Facilitate collaboration between engineering, design, and construction teams.
• Assist with proposal development, budgeting, resource planning, and forecasting.

As a Senior Project Coordinator, you will support the execution of complex rail and transit programs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Your Impact

• Coordinate project activities, schedules, and deliverables to ensure rail and transit initiatives remain on track and aligned with client expectations.
• Support Project Managers with documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements across major transit programs.
• Facilitate collaboration between engineering, design, and construction teams to proactively resolve issues and maintain momentum.
• Assist with proposal development, budgeting, resource planning, and forecasting for upcoming rail and transit work.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• University degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management.
• 5+ years of experience in project coordination within transportation, infrastructure, or engineering environments.
• Familiarity with rail and transit projects, including railway infrastructure systems and components.
• Experience supporting project planning, risk management, cost tracking, and schedule management.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $93,700 – $124,200

MB & ON: $85,500 – $117,800

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $84,700 – $112,400
