Arcadis is seeking a talented Project Manager, Transportation Engineering for our dynamic Ottawa office. We are looking for a project manager with a background in road and transit projects in Ontario. Experience in some or all of Environmental Assessments, preliminary design, detailed design, transportation planning, traffic management, and traffic engineering would be an asset.
This role will entail the utilization of skills in leadership, business development and client interaction. As a Project Manager you will be asked to assist in growing and maintaining the business. Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together.
In this role, you will act as the Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager on transportation-infrastructure projects such as Class Environmental Assessments, TPAP, preliminary designs, detailed designs, intersection, or corridor improvement studies. You will be the Transportation Engineering task lead for large-scale projects and be responsible for the review of preliminary and detailed design drawings, reviewing and supporting report-writing (e.g. Environmental Study Report, traffic studies, technical reports), proposal writing. You will manage staff productivity and utilization, mentor staff and project teams, supervise staff and participate directly in the completion of projects. You will be expected to foster a spirit of enthusiasm and client focus, participate in client liaison, and lead and direct business development activities in Ottawa and GTHA. You will also coordinate projects between other design disciplines, management of project schedule and budget and participate in the management of the Transportation Group in the Ottawa Office.
