Welcome to the RECO program (Real Estate & Central Office Optimization), where we're reshaping the future and purpose of our central offices. At TELUS, we believe in investing in our communities and embracing innovation. Through our multi-billion dollar investment in network infrastructure, we've not only powered a digital economy but also paved the way for exciting real estate opportunities.

Our Copper to Fibre migration strategy has allowed us to unlock the potential of our network assets, for reclamation, network optimization and transformation of our old and outdated central offices into purpose-built housing. By responding to housing needs across multiple communities and provinces, we're making a positive impact on people's lives. Join us on this remarkable journey as we create vibrant, sustainable, and connected communities for a better future.

As a Senior Project Manager, your main responsibility is simple but not easy: make sure 74 sites get delivered on schedule. You'll track progress across fiber builds, customer migrations, network commissioning, and decommissioning. Then translate that into clear status updates for VP-level stakeholders across 8 organizations. The challenge isn't just managing schedules; it's knowing which risks matter, who needs to know what, and how to keep multiple technical teams aligned when they're all moving at different speeds.

This will require effective coordination, digital schedule management and knowledge across Inside Plant, Outside Plant, Mobility, Voice Power & Cooling organization from Plan, Design, Materials, Labour, Build, Inventory Updates to Networks in Service. You will be responsible to ensure internal and external stakeholders understand the status of each site in near real time through detailed schedule management leveraging Monday.com and Digital Executive Dashboards. Your expertise will help us drive innovation and continuous improvement across delivery. You will enjoy working with your respective cross-functional Network Project Managers, within a highly collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Accountable for end-to-end ownership to ensure on time hand over of vacated RECO sites to our JV partners.
  • Facilitating productive & efficient meetings, google chats & email threads across internal & external audiences across all levels of the organization from VP to working level.
  • Track and move projects through various milestones in Monday.com ; seamlessly managing swivel chair activity across JIRA, SAP, Google Sheets, Appian as the program system strategy evolves.
  • Manage the relationships and deliverables for partner vendors such as Nokia and internal Project Managers.
  • Manage changes through a structured governance process to ensure timely awareness of date changes & issues along with risk mitigation strategies; providing creative solutions and awareness of various levers that can be pulled to maintain the End to End schedule.
  • Analyze data, summarize and track information, and create reports and presentations
  • Establish new business processes and lead innovations to improve schedule cycle time, budget, reliability and engagement

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education and/or relevant experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience managing projects or leading cross functional teams
  • End to End understanding of Fibre Networks; including build &/or migrations
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, negotiation, communication and analytical skills
  • Experience managing large scale projects with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills - you can translate complex technical topics into easily understood concepts for our stakeholders and team members
  • Highly motivated, creative and self-sufficient with the ability to work successfully under pressure
  • Executive judgment: knowing when to escalate issues vs. when to solve them independently, balancing transparency with avoiding unnecessary alarm
  • Comfortable with the full spectrum of PM work, from updating schedules to presenting risk mitigation strategies to VPs

Great-to-haves

  • PMP designation preferred
  • Agile project management experience (Scrum/ Kanban environments) is an asset
