Job Description and Responsibilities:

The Senior Project Manager, PMO will be responsible for ensuring best practices, standardization, and strategic alignment across all projects. This individual will play a key role in optimizing project execution, improving efficiency, and driving successful outcomes for complex, high-value engineering and manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading cross-functional teams, implementing project governance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively manages several highly strategic and complex projects concurrently, ensuring that key deliverables are achieved on time and on budget while ensuring project risks are mitigated.
• Leads cross functional teams - engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, to ensure seamless execution of projects to schedule.
• Monitors project performance using KPIs and dashboards, ensuring timely reporting to the Manager, Senior Manager, PMO and Executive leadership.
• Develops and promotes project governance, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and industry best practices.
• Implements and optimizes project management tools and software as required, to enhance visibility and efficiency.
• Identifies and drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project execution and quality of delivery.
• Manages stakeholder communications, ensuring alignment between internal teams, clients, and external partners.
• Leads risk management strategies to proactively address challenges in heavily engineered product development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of project management experience, within a heavily engineered product environment (clean tech, industrial manufacturing, energy, aerospace, etc.).
• Proven experience with project governance, and methodologies (PMP, Agile, or Six Sigma certification is a plus).
• Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary and complex projects in various industries from initiation to completion.
• Expert proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, regulated, and technical environment.
