Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, Marketing, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • PMP certification (or equivalent) is considered an asset.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in project management, business operations, technology management, or consulting.
  • Experience managing enterprise technology implementations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional strategic projects.
  • Experience managing CRM platforms and business technology.
  • Experience managing people.
  • Experience working with external software vendors.
  • Experience leading change initiatives.
  • Experience within a law firm or other professional services organization is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of strategic initiatives across the Markets department from initiation through implementation.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, governance, risk management, stakeholder communications, and executive reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams within the Markets’ team and with IT, Finance, Procurement, and external vendors.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget and aligned with departmental and firm priorities.
  • Lead organizational change management and implementation activities to support successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Serve as the business owner for the Firm's CRM platform and lead the CRM team.
  • Oversee CRM strategy, administration, vendor relationships, user support, training, adoption and ongoing optimization.
  • Establish CRM governance, data quality standards and reporting capabilities that support Business Development and client relationship management.
  • Lead CRM enhancements, upgrades and implementation projects.
  • Oversee the Markets technology portfolio, including CRM, marketing automation, digital marketing, event management, analytics and other business applications.
  • Develop and maintain the Markets technology roadmap in partnership with IT and business stakeholders.
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement new technologies that improve productivity, collaboration and service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Manage technology vendors and implementation partners, ensuring solutions align with firm standards and business objectives.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the Markets department to enhance efficiency, consistency and service delivery.
  • Analyze existing workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement standardized processes and best practices.
  • Develop operational documentation, governance frameworks and performance measures that support sustainable improvements.
  • Partner with department leaders to optimize how people, processes and technology work together.
  • Reconcile marketing expenses against budget providing executive summaries and other reporting requirements.
  • Assist CMO with Markets’ budget planning and analysis.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders across the Firm to understand business needs and translate them into practical operational and technology solutions.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting on project status, technology initiatives, operational performance and key risks.
  • Support annual planning and budget, prioritization and governance activities for Markets initiatives.
  • Develop project dashboards and executive reporting.
  • Track project budgets, risks, issues, resource allocation, and benefits realization.
  • Establish governance frameworks for technology initiatives.
  • Monitor departmental KPIs related to project delivery, technology adoption, and operational efficiency.
  • Support annual planning and prioritization activities.

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager, Markets to join the team in our Toronto office.

The Senior Project Manager, Markets is responsible for leading strategic projects, optimizing business processes, and managing the technology ecosystem that supports the Firm's Markets function.

Working across the Markets’ team functions, this role ensures that strategic initiatives are delivered successfully while continually improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and maturity of the Markets department.

The role combines project management, operational excellence, technology leadership, and change management. While not a software development position, the successful candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with IT, software vendors, and business stakeholders to implement technology solutions that improve workflows and generally on how the department operates.

This position also serves as the business owner of the firm's CRM platform and leads the Markets Technology team responsible for supporting CRM, marketing technologies, user adoption, and ongoing system optimization.

The role manages a small team of people.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Project Management
  • Lead the planning and delivery of strategic initiatives across the Markets department from initiation through implementation.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, governance, risk management, stakeholder communications, and executive reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams within the Markets’ team and with, IT, Finance, Procurement, and external vendors.

Compensation

We offer a market-leading total rewards package with the expected range of the annual salary to be between $120,895 – 151,119.

The final salary is influenced by the location of the incumbent and may fluctuate based on the qualifications, skills, and market considerations, ensuring alignment with internal and external pay equity standards.
