We work with diverse clients on land and site development, city-building, municipal projects, public spaces, and planning policies. Success begins with industry insight and foresight.

Your Opportunity

The Project Manager role involves working independently and collaboratively on projects of various sizes and complexities. You will be responsible for project delivery, financials, construction oversight, proposals, and client success. Projects may have complex features requiring mature knowledge. You will also analyze community development projects to ensure timely delivery, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

This role manages relationships with valued developer clients in Calgary and southern Alberta, providing exceptional customer service.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation of subdivision engineering drawings (residential, industrial, commercial), including technical review and stamping if qualified.
  • Review designs by other land development engineers/technologists.
  • Guide projects through design, scheduling, tendering, and construction phases.
  • Coordinate stormwater management designs with engineers.
  • Provide engineering input to plans and land reviews.
  • Liaise with clients, agencies for permits and approvals.
  • Meet client needs efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Ensure projects meet standards and QA/QC protocols.
  • Coordinate and review junior staff work.
  • Act as main client contact.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and reporting.
  • Support business development through proposals.
  • Participate in industry volunteer opportunities.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Thorough understanding of land development (site grading, sewer, water, utilities, roads).
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to coordinate engineering with planning and landscape architecture.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative approach.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is an asset.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering; P.Eng. registration with APEGA preferred.
  • Experience in Calgary and surrounding areas preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of land development experience preferred.

Work involves office environment and fieldwork, with exposure to weather conditions.
