Houle Electric Canada invites a Senior Project Manager to lead critical healthcare design-build projects across British Columbia and Western Canada. You will guide the Electrical and Technology scope, manage schedule and budget, and mentor a high-performing project team on multi-year initiatives valued from tens to hundreds of millions.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Electrician or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or P.Eng. designation.
• Requires PMP Certification, Gold Seal in Project Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of PM experience on complex, multi-year projects; healthcare design-build preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience as lead PM on at least two projects with >$7M contract values.
• Financial acumen and understanding of contract law.
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of Procore, Revit, AutoCAD, BIM or Accubid is beneficial.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead some of the most meaningful and needed multi-year Hospital projects in British Columbia. These projects range from $30 - $400 million with a typical duration of 3 to 7 years.

Location

This is a site-based role on project sites across the Lower Mainland, BC, and Western Canada. Compensation will reflect factors such as work location and any applicable shift schedules.

Your responsibilities

• As a member of the Project Leadership Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the project team has the direction, culture and resources to successfully achieve project deliverables within the schedule and budget
• Lead project management of Electrical and Technology scope for large design build projects, including the planning and coordination of the design & construction processes
• Control the schedule, budget and quality of design build projects
• Manage project performance tracking and financial reporting
• Manage relationships with Clients, Engineers, Vendors and other stakeholders
• Work with the Superintendent to manage labour requirements and staffing
• Provide mentorship to your team
• Lead the procurement process
• Assist/Lead the pursuit of design build projects

Your experience and skills

• Red Seal Electrician or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or P.Eng. designation
• PMP Certification, Gold Seal in Project Management, Project Management Certificate, or equivalent education is required
• Minimum 10 years of previous project management experience in a related industry on similar complex, multi-year projects. Preference is for candidates with design build healthcare experience
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated experience as the lead project manager leading a minimum of two projects with contract values of over $7 million from start-up to close out
• Financial acumen and understanding of contract law
• Proficient in MS Office. Some degree of proficiency in Procore, Revit, AutoCAD, BIM Accubid or scheduling software is beneficial

Salary range: $115,000-$140,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered. Let's chat throughout the hiring process and determine the best fit.
