Qualifications

Senior Project Manager, Finance Transformation & Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Finance Transformation & Systems team!

We are looking for a Project Manager who will manage activities and deliverables for various Finance and Business projects within the Finance ecosystems. The Project Manager plays a critical role in each project by coordinating the various business stakeholders and collaborating closely with the technology teams to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate will be strategically minded, possess strong leadership skills, be innovative, agile with a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.

What you'll do here:

Plan, control and manage internal projects involving the finance team from start to finish.

Participate in projects scope definition and related list of deliverables.

Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budget and resource allocation.

Analyze the project's potential impacts and challenges, and the impact on the various stakeholders.

Ensure that project results meet managers' expectations in terms of technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost.

Coordinate projects deployment with various internal and external teams, ensuring that objectives and expectations are met.

Manage relationships with customers, service providers and team members to foster collaboration and project success.

Maintain clear and effective communication channels with project stakeholders. Ensure that the expectations of financial stakeholders and other business units involved are met.

Communicate changes according to the approval cycle.

Ensure that on the day of deployment, all activities are in place so that everything runs according to established standards.

Following deployment, analyze the success indicators obtained to ensure that they are in line with the objectives, and propose remediation solutions if necessary.

Be a resource person for the various stakeholders involved in deployment issues management.

Act as a resource to evaluate and communicate the impact of changes on our team and on the business and operational teams.

What you bring to the table:

Advanced level experience in Microsoft Project, Visio, Office 365, SharePoint & Jira – is required

Minimum 10-15 years experience in Finance Project Management/IT Project Management

Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of the insurance industry a major asset

PMP, PMI, lean six sigma certification

Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment

Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

Experience in team management

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.

No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
