AtkinsRéalisis hiring a Senior Project Manager - Facilities to join our growing team. The Senior Project Manager - Facilities will provide specialist project management support for the successful delivery of facilities and infrastructure works. Working alongside Senior Project Managers and Construction Managers, this role will assist the Program Lead in achieving project goals, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and risk management.

Location - Toronto, ON

Your role within the team:

  • Provide specialist project management support for the successful delivery of airport facilities and supporting infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Senior Project Managers and Construction Managers to assist the Program Lead in achieving project goals.
  • Partner with the Program Lead to monitor contractor performance and escalate issues or decisions when needed.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate necessary consultations and approvals.
  • Coordinate with the contractor to ensure timely acquisition of permits, approvals, consents, and efficient site logistics.
  • Oversee the execution of works, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and risk management.
  • Lead the application of change control procedures, oversee project reviews and inspections, and support the professional development of employees through coaching and mentoring.

The ideal candidate:

  • Hold a related degree with minimum of 15 years of professional experience in project/program management, with a minimum of 5 years working within large international airport or equivalent infrastructure projects, focusing on airfield restoration and/or electrical or civil infrastructure works.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex projects and programs, with strong technical capability across all project phases, including design, planning, construction, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams to deliver complex projects and programs, ensuring successful execution and completion.
  • Extensive experience in managing stakeholder relationships, providing detailed reports, and supporting effective decision-making in collaborative project environments.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with familiarity in progressive contracting models such as Progressive Design Build and Target Price, and a recognized degree or professional designation in a relevant field.
