Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Engineering, the Senior Project Manager, Engineering is accountable for the successful completion of various capital projects. This role involves providing technical support and guidance in troubleshooting plant equipment and service issues, as well as supporting system and process improvements to increase efficiency.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage various complex capital projects from conception to commissioning.
• Handle project management tasks including budget preparation, cost tracking, and vendor negotiations.
• Provide technical support in troubleshooting plant equipment and services.
• Represent the company in dealings with government agencies for permitting and approvals.
• Assess, prioritize, and manage process / project opportunities from start to finish.
• Enhance overall plant operating efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for technological improvements and process optimization.
• Assist Plant Managers in fostering a culture of continuous improvement across manufacturing facilities.

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Food Processing Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) designation is required.
• PMP certification is an asset.
• 7 to 10 years of progressive experience managing capital projects.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including utility systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
