Senior Project Manager, Electrical Construction

Role Overview

Are you experienced in managing complex, multi-million dollar electrical construction projects? Do you pride yourself on delivering projects on time and within budget? If so, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact at Plan Group.

Responsibilities

• Establish and achieve project targets and milestones for electrical construction projects.
• Promote and lead health and safety initiatives.
• Monitor project progress, forecasts, costs, and schedules in line with the T.I.M.E. efficiency program.
• Identify potential issues and communicate them to management proactively.
• Manage quality assurance, commissioning, and project handover processes.
• Lead value engineering, cost-saving, and pricing initiatives.
• Analyze critical path activities and advise the project team accordingly.
• Oversee short interval planning and pre-job planning activities.
• Coordinate site supervision, labor progress, and risk management strategies.
• Ensure documentation, change orders, equipment / material deliveries, and site meetings are properly managed.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching, and training to team members.
• Build strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and engineers.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 7 years of electrical construction project management experience; trade experience is a plus.
• Experience managing large-scale electrical commercial and institutional projects.
