Job summary

ANDRITZ in Montreal, Canada seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex heavy industry projects, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and client satisfaction. You will coordinate with engineering, procurement, and commercial teams to define strategy, manage risks, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, aim for overall project success, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in project management in heavy industry.
Experience managing complex projects with an accelerated schedule.
Proven leadership and team spirit, innovative.
Excellent listening skills as well as verbal and written communication in French and English.
Availability to travel, as necessary.
PMP Certification (an asset).

Responsibilities

Structuring the launch of new projects, evaluating risks, setting objectives and the operating strategy.
Defining technical strategy and a supply plan with System Engineer and Procurement.
Planning and coordinating activities to meet contractual and financial targets.
Ensuring compliance with technical specs, quality, and safety standards from Engineering to Site.
Organizing team meetings, documenting minutes, and defining actions.
Preparing and negotiating customer claims with Commercial Manager support.
Closing out projects properly after completion.
