Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for driving the successful execution of creative projects within Marks, ensuring that timelines, budgets, margin, and quality standards are consistently met. Acting as the operational backbone for the team, the Senior Project Manager manages cross-functional workflows. This role requires a deep understanding of project management best practices, strong organizational skills, and the ability to guide complex projects from conception to completion.

This role is a temporary 18-month hybrid position based out of Toronto.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution
2. Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
3. Own all gates, risk, and commercial controls to run the projects they are accountable for, ensuring optimal utilization, workflows, and delivery.
4. Manage margins and optimization solutions to deliver to the target VCM.
5. Define project milestones and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client goals and agency standards.
6. Track project performance in partnership with the PMO, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
7. Collaborate with the PMO to align projects with organizational goals and governance standards.
8. Maintain data integrity within project management tools like Workfront for accurate reporting.

Team Collaboration

1. Coordinate cross-functional teams including designers, strategists, copywriters, and production to ensure seamless execution.
2. Act as the central contact for project-related queries and updates.
3. Support team members by removing roadblocks and facilitating communication.

Client Relationship Management

1. Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding timelines, deliverables, and risks.
2. Manage client expectations and align with project objectives and agency capabilities.
3. Collaborate with account managers to identify upsell opportunities.

Budget & Resource Management

1. Monitor project budgets and ensure financial adherence.
2. Track resource allocation and address bottlenecks or capacity issues.
3. Drive continuous improvement by integrating PMO processes into daily project execution.

Process Improvement

1. Enhance agency workflows, tools, and processes for efficiency and scalability.
2. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
