A leading company is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a nine-month contract position in Regina, Canada, to manage a core governance program. Job Summary:
This Senior Project Manager role is a nine-month contract position (with the potential for extension) within the Strategy Realization Office, managing one of the organization's core Intentional Governance programs. The role requires a blend of project and program management skills, leading project planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring alignment with overall program strategy. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Director and work closely with a VP-level Program Sponsor. The position will primarily be based in the Regina head office, but a hybrid arrangement may be considered. Location: Remote
Responsibilities: - Program Integration and Oversight: Ensure project alignment with program strategy, maintain program charter, integrate project activities, and manage RAIDD (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, Decisions).
- Project Delivery Leadership: Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, adhering to established office standards, and maintaining project controls.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Governance Reporting: Liaise between project teams and the Program Steering Committee, preparing and delivering governance reports.
- RAIDD Management and Decision Facilitation: Maintain a RAIDD log, proactively manage and resolve risks and issues, and escalate as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications: - Deep understanding of program management methodologies (e.g., MSP, PgMP) and project management practices (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, hybrid).
- Familiarity with corporate governance principles and portfolio management practices.
- Strong grasp of the intersection of business strategy, operational processes, and technology delivery.
- Proficiency in RAIDD management tools and methodologies.
- Strategic thinking and planning skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High attention to detail and discipline in maintaining delivery artifacts and reports.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in project and program management, ideally with hybrid delivery across business and IT domains.
- Experience within enterprise governance structures.
- Track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Prior experience with vendor or third-party management.
Preferred Skills & Certifications: - Experience working in the public sector, insurance, or other financial services.
