To provide expert leadership and strategic management for complex and critical projects, ensuring
successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline, while driving strategic alignment and fostering collaborative team environments. This role requires a seasoned project management professional with a proven track record of managing large-scale initiatives, navigating complex stakeholder landscapes, and ideally, experience within the pharmaceutical industry. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initiation through closure, and will contribute to the development and implementation of project management best practices within the organization.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and communication strategies.
- Manage multi-year program/project budgets up to $30M.
- Implement effective cost management strategies, across multi-programs/projects concurrently.
- Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including senior management, internal teams, and external vendors.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques and change control processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path activities.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and contribute to organizational knowledge.
- Mentor and coach junior project managers and team members, fostering project management expertise within the organization.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts as required for project execution.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Science, Engineering). Master's degree preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant portion leading complex, cross-functional projects.
- Proven ability to develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools with a strong preference for Smartsheet.
- Experience working within the pharmaceutical industry, with a demonstrable understanding of its unique challenges and regulatory landscape.
- Experience managing projects related to drug development, regulatory submissions, or pharmaceutical manufacturing is strongly preferred
