As part of our growth, CRWS is strengthening its Project Management Office (PMO) to support the delivery of increasingly complex projects across the rail sector. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager who will lead large-scale initiatives and play a key role in ensuring quality execution and client satisfaction.

The Role

Reporting to the PMO Director and collaborating with engineering, production, and client teams, the Senior Project Manager will lead major rail projects and contribute to the refinement of our project management practices and tools.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead Critical Projects :

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of key projects, primarily in manufacturing environments such as rolling stock modernization, refurbishment, or new builds.
  • Ensure alignment with project objectives in terms of scope, cost, schedule, and quality.

  • Track progress and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Multidisciplinary Coordination :

  • Lead and align cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality, logistics, and procurement.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration between internal departments and external stakeholders.

Bid & Proposal Support :

  • Participate in bid preparation : define project scopes, schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates.
  • Contribute to technical and project strategies during tender submissions.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related matters.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal leadership.

Field Leadership :

  • Maintain a regular presence on project sites and manufacturing facilities to ensure alignment and address issues in real time.
  • Actively support execution teams in resolving operational challenges.

Requirements :

Education & Certifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PMP certification (or in progress) is strongly preferred
  • Additional training or certification in project management tools is an asset

Experience :

  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in project management
  • Experience working in manufacturing, transportation, or rolling stock environments
  • Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, production, planning, quality, and procurement
  • Experience contributing to bids and tenders for large-scale projects (scope definition, scheduling, costing)
  • Experience across all project phases, including engineering, material acquisition, production, quality assurance, and commissioning

Skills and Attributes :

  • Proficient user of MS Project or other project planning tools (Primavera, etc.)
  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making under pressure
  • Client-focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, with solid skills in scheduling, risk management, budgeting, and reporting
  • Comfortable working in shop floor and field environments
  • Fully bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written

Mobility :

  • Willingness to travel approximately once a month or more if needed.
