Base pay range

CA$120,000.00/yr - CA$155,000.00/yr

Hiring professionals in Project Management and in supporting roles that make a project successful.

We're seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our client in the Commercial and Institutional construction sector in Edmonton. As a Senior Project Manager, you'll play an important role in the integration of the variables that make a project successful. You will work closely with the project team and stakeholders and maintain an excellent relationship with subcontractors and clients.

What we offer

  • Salary: $120,000 to $155,000
  • Job Type: Full-time

What You'll Do:

  • Manage project activities throughout the life cycle of the project, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, and budgets;
  • Work collaboratively with the project team to discuss progress, risks, and solutions in order to meet scheduled dates.
  • Achieve the project budget and complete accurate monthly forecasts;
  • Provide strong leadership to team members to ensure project targets are achieved.
  • Act as primary liaison with clients, designers, site superintendents, subtrades, and other project stakeholders.
  • Organize project teams into suitable workgroups and guide the teams through their efforts to produce deliverables according to specification.
  • Manage internal and/or external contractors or trades.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 10 years of institutional/commercial construction experience.
  • A construction-related degree/diploma is preferred.
  • Experience with Procore and MS Project is preferred.
  • Knowledge of pull planning techniques is preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel to sites and in some cases work from site office for the length of the project.
  • Must have strong knowledge of scheduling, project management, and cost controls.
  • Must possess a valid and clean driver’s license.
  • Must hold strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Must be highly organized and able to prioritize responsibilities.
  • Must have a proven ability to take initiative and be respectful of diversity.
