We’re looking for a bright and motivated individual to join our Emissions Reduction and Compliance (ERC) team. As the ideal candidate, you are prepared to manage your own client portfolio and provide technical leadership to the Water and Wastewater Engineering team.

Reporting to the Business Lead - Engineering, the Senior Project Engineer will:

• Provide leadership within the Water and Wastewater Engineering business to drive growth, offer technical design expertise, manage projects from inception to completion, and support the engineering team.
• Develop technical submissions for potable, non-potable, stormwater, and wastewater designs.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Project Engineer:

• Oversee engineering projects, including proposals, scheduling, financial management, and reporting.
• Assign tasks to staff based on workload and provide guidance and mentorship.
• Consult with clients on technical solutions, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and participate in business development.
• Manage project budgets, invoicing, and WIP to ensure profitability.
• Manage project scope changes and identify potential issues.
• Contribute to business plans and perform peer reviews.
• Support the strategic direction of ERC’s engineering services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Canadian/Ontario water and wastewater regulations.
• Experience in water treatment, stormwater management, septic, and wastewater design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, and Microsoft Project is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with contractors.
