Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead renewable energy projects in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will oversee planning, design, procurement, and commissioning, ensuring safety and environmental compliance. Strong PM skills and Pr.Eng are highly desirable.

The role requires 7+ years in energy project management and hands-on leadership of solar or wind farm initiatives, with on-site responsibilities in a dynamic, regulatory environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in project engineering or project management within the energy sector, renewable focus.
• Proven experience managing large-scale solar or wind farm projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent knowledge of engineering principles, construction practices, and safety protocols for renewables.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the planning, design, and execution phases of renewable energy infrastructure projects.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
• Conduct technical reviews, site assessments, and feasibility studies.
• Oversee engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental permits.
• Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
• Monitor project performance and prepare detailed progress reports for senior management.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams.
