Position Status: Regular Full-Time

Employee Group: Exempt

Location: 4515 Central Boulevard, Burnaby

Salary Range/Wage Rate: Professional / Technical, Level P3A ($123,587.51 – $145,395.95 annually)

Department Overview: Liquid Waste Services is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead process improvements, enhance data analytics, and develop our Enterprise Asset Management System within a wastewater utility setting. The role involves analyzing asset performance using GIS and Power BI, establishing standard frameworks for asset decision-making, and ensuring consistent data collection and application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead process improvement initiatives and data analytics enhancements.
  • Develop and implement asset management standards and frameworks.
  • Analyze asset performance and data trends using GIS, Power BI, and CMMS tools.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure data consistency and quality.
  • Support growth in asset management practices and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in engineering or related field; 4-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Membership or eligibility for P.Eng. with EGBC.
  • Strong technical knowledge in reliability engineering and asset management.
  • Experience with GIS, Power BI, and CMMS tools.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and lead teams.
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License.

Additional Information:

  • Reports to the Division Manager.
  • Engages in complex project management, budgeting, and policy development.
  • Participates in standards development and may supervise technical staff.
  • Supports regulatory and policy initiatives.
