AECOM is seeking a Project Director – Water and Wastewater based in Burnaby, BC, with flexibility to base in Victoria or Kelowna. You will lead complex municipal water and wastewater projects, guiding multidisciplinary teams from planning through commissioning while building trusted client relationships.

As a senior leader in AECOM’s Water practice, you will marry technical excellence with commercial and project management expertise to deliver resilient infrastructure across Canada and beyond,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• P.Eng. registration in Canada.
• 12+ years of relevant engineering experience with municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience as Project Director or Project Manager for the design and delivery of water or wastewater facilities.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and working with clients, contractors and regulators.
• 20+ years of relevant engineering experience with local municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure is preferred.
• Experience with municipal water and wastewater treatment, including plant infrastructure and site systems.

Responsabilités

• Serve as Project Director and/or Project Manager for major water and wastewater projects with overall scope, budget, schedule, quality, risk and client satisfaction.
• Provide technical oversight for planning, design and delivery of municipal water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure across disciplines.
• Establish and maintain relationships with municipal clients, contractors, regulators and utilities.
• Lead preparation and review of design reports, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and execution plans.
• Lead constructability reviews, contract administration, construction inspection, and commissioning support.
• Support proposal development, project scoping, fee development and identification of new opportunities.
• Lead, mentor and develop project staff and contribute to the growth of AECOM's water/wastewater practice.
• Establish quality and risk management processes to ensure projects meet requirements.
