Job summary

Parker Huggett - A Division of LRO Staffing in Calgary seeks a Senior Project Manager/Coordinator to own complex ICI projects from pre-construction to closeout. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain strong client and trade partner relationships.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in ICI construction, strong knowledge of CCDC contracts and tendering, and proficiency with Procore and MS Project. Must hold a related degree and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in ICI construction in a Senior Project Coordinator or Project Manager role
• Proven track record delivering institutional, commercial, and/or industrial projects within Calgary
• Strong knowledge of CCDC contracts, tendering processes, and construction scheduling
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills with mentoring experience
• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with Procore and MS Project is an asset
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

About the Opportunity

Parker Huggett has partnered on a confidential basis with a well-established and highly regarded ICI general contractor in Calgary to grow their project delivery team. Backed by a strong and growing pipeline of institutional, commercial, and industrial work across Alberta, our client is looking for experienced Senior Project Coordinators and Project Managers who are ready to take ownership of complex builds from pre-construction through to closeout.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Managing all phases of ICI construction projects, from tendering and procurement through to project closeout
• Overseeing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and trade partners throughout the project lifecycle
• Reviewing, negotiating, and administering subcontracts, change orders, and purchase orders
• Leading and mentoring project coordinators, site supervisors, and junior team members
• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and contractual obligations on every site
• Supporting a smooth transition from preconstruction into execution and contributing to continuous improvement of project delivery processes

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in ICI construction, in a Senior Project Coordinator or Project Manager capacity
• A proven track record delivering institutional, commercial, and/or industrial projects within the Calgary market
• Strong working knowledge of CCDC contracts, tendering processes, and construction scheduling
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with experience mentoring junior team members
• A post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) is an asset
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
