Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd seeks a Senior Manager Project Controls to oversee the EPFCI project controls lifecycle, ensuring robust cost control, schedule management, and risk mitigation. The role requires deep expertise in EVM, planning, and cost forecasting, with leadership of a skilled project controls team.

You will coordinate with Project Manager and stakeholders to maintain baselines, monitor expenditures, and drive performance improvements while adhering to company policies and industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 14+ years of experience in cost control or project controls within the EPCI industry
• Knowledge of cost control methodologies including earned value management (EVM), cost forecasting, and risk analysis
• Proficiency with cost control software/tools (Primavera P6, SAP, Excel) to analyze data and reports
• Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret complex financial data for insights
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing a team
• Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Project

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage Project Controls activities throughout the EPFCI project lifecycle
• Understand and apply contract requirements of assigned projects
• Provide planning supervision and direction
• Collaborate with the Project Manager/Director to monitor schedule and forecast dates
• Develop and implement cost control strategies in line with industry standards
• Establish baselines with project managers and ensure budget/contractual adherence
• Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Lead Project Controls team and provide training and evaluations
• Collaborate with procurement and contracts to evaluate vendor agreements
• Ensure adherence to McDermott systems and processes
• Maintain an integrated Level 3 schedule and proactive look-ahead progress
• Manage risk & opportunity strategies and ensure effective communication
• Support Risk & Opportunity function and risk management execution
• Lead and verify compliance with McDermott policies and mandatory training
