Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a seasoned Project Controls Lead in Canada (Durham Region/Oshawa area) to drive cost and schedule control for a major engineering project. The role requires senior leadership, strong PMBOK application, and expertise in implementing controls on complex programs.

The ideal candidate will oversee a team of planners and cost controllers, ensure accurate reporting, and collaborate with clients and partners to maintain schedule integrity and budget compliance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in project cost and schedule control.
• Experience leading project controls teams on complex engineering/construction projects.
• Nuclear industry experience is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of PMBOK/PMI methods including critical path, earned value, and progress reporting.
• Proficient in MS Office; Primavera P6 expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead Project Controls execution for the project.
• Participate in proposal activities for the project.
• Develop and uphold project controls processes and procedures.
• Create and lead the project controls team, including planners and cost controllers.
• Report status updates to the Project Controls Director and stakeholders.
• Manage change control and CPR process with effective issue resolution.
