Job summary

Vista Projects Limited in Calgary is seeking a senior Project Controls Lead to manage cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and performance reporting across multiple energy projects. You will mentor schedulers and project controls analysts, collaborate with clients, project managers and engineering teams, and lead process improvements while maintaining high-quality baselines and schedules.

A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years in cost control and 6 years in planning/scheduling are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Minimum 10 years of cost control experience and 6 years in planning/scheduling; senior/lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project controls including cost, scheduling, forecasting, earned value, and change management.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Excel; Power BI experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls across multiple projects, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and engineering to define requirements and risks.
• Lead cost reporting, forecasting, earned value analysis, and change management.
• Review budgets, commitments, actuals, and EACs to identify variances and trends.
• Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules and approved baselines.
