Job summary

WSP Canada is seeking a Project Control Analyst to join its Project Services - Project Cost Control team in Terrace, with potential offices in Vancouver, Kelowna or Victoria. You will drive project performance through integrated tracking of costs, progress, and schedules across the project lifecycle.

The role collaborates with project managers, planners and technical teams to enable structured, proactive, and performance-driven decision-making, leveraging EVM and robust cost control

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in project control or project cost control.
• Experience on engineering projects is mandatory.
• Experience in heavy industrial projects is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and indicators PV, EV, AC, CPI, SPI.
• Understanding budgeting, forecasting, baselines, and variance analysis concepts.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6, Power BI, InEight, or similar tools is an asset.
• Ability to work on complex and multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong rigor, analytical mindset, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor project cost control data (budgets, commitments, forecasts).
• Apply EVM principles to measure performance.
• Analyze progress and assess cost/schedule impacts.
• Prepare and maintain forecasts (EAC/ETC) with project managers.
• Produce integrated cost/schedule/progress analyses and identify risks and opportunities.
• Perform variance analysis against baselines and recommend actions.
• Support change management affecting costs and schedules.
• Collaborate with planners to align cost data with schedules.
• Participate in project review meetings and performance discussions.
