Job summary

New Generation Design Wave (NGDW) is seeking an experienced Architect to lead projects from concept through construction, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing documentation. The candidate will coordinate planning approvals, building permits, and construction administration while delivering technically sound design solutions.

The role requires an Registered Architect (or eligible) with 8+ years of experience, strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, and an ability to manage

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution.
• Registered Architect with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA), or eligible and actively pursuing registration.
• Minimum 8 years of architectural experience.
• Experience leading projects through municipal approvals and building permit.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.
• Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept through construction completion.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Lead municipal planning approval and building permit processes; prepare submissions.
• Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, landscape, planning, transportation, and specialty consultants.
• Develop and maintain Revit models; produce plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and drawings.
• Perform QA/QC reviews and participate in site meetings and construction administration.
