ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly dynamic, innovative and collaborative leader for the role of Senior Program Manager of Education, with the HSO Products and Strategic Offerings team, reporting to the Managing Director. HSO standards are evidence-based criteria and guidelines promoting quality and safety outcomes in health and social services. These standards serve as the basis for cutting-edge accreditation programs and robust public policies.

The Senior Program Manager, Educationwill oversee the design, development and delivery of education for internal teams, and Accreditation clients relating to Standards, Products and the QMentum program. This is a new team at HSO, designed to deliver unique educational opportunities leading to value creation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Education Roadmap, managing definedprojectrequirements and scope, delivered on time and on budget.
  • Build and manage an education program to develop, deliver and evaluate standards and products related content.
  • Design an educational evaluation framework to inform formative and summative improvements to the education program.
  • Mentor and coach an educational team to release of people-centred, evidence-based, high-quality education in collaboration with subject matter experts and key interest holders.
  • Collaborate and coordinate the sequencing and integration of standards and products-based education across business units.
  • Continuously improving and innovating education development processes to integrate microlearning, AI enhancements, gamification, and simulation-based learning.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field, such as Healthcare Education.
  • Clinical experience in a large health care organization as a regulated health care provider in good standing.
  • 5 years of progressive leadership experience.
  • 3-5 years Standards development or Accreditation.
  • Experience in managing a team accountable for an organization wide curriculum or education program.
  • Highly knowledgeable in adult learning principles, education innovations, applied and immersive learning in healthcare and education evaluation frameworks.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Experience interpreting standards to internal and external audiences.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the health and social services legislative, regulatory, policy, research and health system landscape.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Canadian official languages.
  • Open to occasional travel.

  • Set your performance and learning objectives for the year in collaboration with your people manager.
  • Meet regularly with your people manager to discuss your learning progression and alignment for your accountabilities.
  • Take on assigned initiatives or projects for your role.
