Job summary

Black & Veatch in Markham, ON is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead very large and complex inter-related projects within Capital Improvement Plans.

You will manage 3rd party designers and constructors, represent the owner on contracts, and guide planning through execution of CIP programs across multiple sectors, with a focus on risk management and cross-disciplinary leadership.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in a senior project and/or program management role; PM, EM, Planning, Project Controls, etc.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search).
• Certifications: Active P.E., PgMP, or PMP.
• Experience leading CIP projects from >$1.5M to $10M+ construction value in Stormwater, Roads, Parks, of W/WW Facility or Linear projects.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight and direction to B&V project managers, construction managers, program professionals and subcontractors.
• Operates in complex management environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Interacts with senior government or public officials and/or executive level clients on significant project matters.
• Manage and supervise complex engineering design or construction by 3rd parties as owner's representative.
• Prepares and delivers presentations in support of client's programs.

Education

MSc Eng. or MBA or similar

Active P.E., PgMP, or PMP
