Job summary

Green Municipal Fund (GMF) is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst, Programs to provide financial support for GMF programs. The role coordinates all finance and accounting activities to ensure accurate transactions and timely reporting for internal teams and external funders.

The candidate will handle monthly/quarterly reporting, budgeting, audits, and financial analysis, while ensuring compliance with funding agreements. Hybrid work with some travel to Ottawa, Canada, is part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting or finance, typically with a college or university degree and 7+ years of direct accounting experience.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating audits.
• Strong knowledge of budget preparation and fund accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports for Program staff and external funders.
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting with senior managers and finance leadership.
• Lead internal audit processes and prepare audit reports with findings and recommendations.
• Support external audits and liaise with funding agencies on financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with funding contracts and disbursement regulations.
