Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Dorval, QC, is seeking a Senior Professional, Engineering - EWIS Design to lead EWIS 3D design on critical projects and own EWIS in the Digital Mock-Up. You will develop EWIS strategies and new harness concepts for current and future programs, coordinating with internal and external groups.

The role demands 10–15 years in aerospace, extensive CATIA V5 experience in harness routing, wiring design expertise, and strong written/spoken French and English

Qualifications

• College or University degree in Avionic or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent 3D design experience.
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of aerospace experience.
• Over 10 years of CATIA V5 experience in harness routing; NX harness routing experience would be an asset.
• Wiring design, wiring installation and/or wiring troubleshooting experience; familiar with ECAD (Capital tools & processes).
• Familiar with FAR Part 25 subpart H and SAE-AS50881 EWIS standards.
• Strong sense of responsibility and good organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills including reading/writing in French and English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of EWIS 3D designers on critical projects.
• Be responsible for the Electrical Wiring Integrated System (EWIS) in the Digital Mock-Up (DMU).
• Develop EWIS strategy and new harness concepts for current and new development programs.
• Integrate EWIS with system, cabinet, and structure groups internally or externally.
• Provide technical support on change management implementation (RFC, PCR).
• Contribute by participating in other tasks depending on program needs and demonstrate flexibility to adapt.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a college or University degree in Avionic or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent workexperience in 3D design.
• You have a minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant working experience in aerospace.
• You have over 10 years of CATIA V5 experience in harness routing, having NX harness routing experiencewould be an asset.
• You have wiring design, wiring installation and/or wiring troubleshooting experience and you are familiar toECAD (Capital tools & processes).
• You are familiar with FAR Part 25 subpart H and the certification rules addressing EWIS.
• You are familiar with SAE-AS50881 covering all aspects of EWIS.
• You have a strong sense of responsibility and have good organization skills.
• You must have excellent communication skills including the ability to read/write in French and English.
• You have proficient computer skills including Microsoft office suite.
• You are familiar with BM’s, RAE documents and BAPS related to harnesses.
• You are innovative and open to new ideas.
