Job summary

Business Development Bank of Canada is seeking a Senior Advisor, Product Management & Development to turn ideas into concrete strategies and manage the product portfolio. The role coordinates with internal partners to ensure effective new or modified financing products, deployments and ongoing support for business initiatives across the organization.

The incumbent will lead project proposals, manage launches, develop roadmaps, and stay abreast of SME ecosystem developments to enhance offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or equivalent.
• Seven to nine years of experience in the banking industry with customer interactions.
• Knowledge of the SME ecosystem.
• In-depth understanding of BDC's financial and financing products.
• Experience in business development and loan writing is an asset.
• Customer focus aligned with the company's vision.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
• Proficiency in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Propose new projects by identifying opportunities and designing strategies for financing products.
• Lead product launches, renewals, and cross-functional coordination.
• Support product development and oversee approval, implementation and deployment.
• Develop roadmaps, communication plans, and training documentation.
• Maintain product pipelines and monitor KPIs.
• Collaborate with other lines of business to develop joint initiatives.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to product users.
