Job summary

Interac Corp. is seeking a Product Security Principal to champion security across product lines and platforms.

You will act as the forward‑deployed security leader, guiding risk-driven decisions from strategy to delivery, and partnering with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Risk teams to embed strong security controls throughout the lifecycle. The role requires extensive experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and cloud/security architecture, with a focus on secure development practices,

Qualifications

• Ten-plus years in cybersecurity, information security, or related disciplines.
• Proven trusted security advisor / security lead experience.
• Strong enterprise risk management and communications skills.
• Deep knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI DSS, privacy regulations and audits.
• Experience integrating security into product development and operations.
• Familiarity with secure-by-design, zero trust, encryption and resilience principles.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), APIs, containers, and hybrid infra.
• Experience in governance, third‑party risk, vendor assessments, and regulatory reviews.
• Ability to translate complex risks into clear business actions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Information Security advisor for assigned products and services.
• Provide strategic security guidance to support business and technology decisions.
• Identify and elevate security risks with appropriate controls and plans.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and contractual obligations.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and governance reporting.
• Advise on security requirements for third‑party vendors and contracts.
• Lead secure-by-design reviews across product architectures and initiatives.
• Evaluate threat models, data flows, and third‑party integrations to mitigate risks.
• Partner with security and tech teams to implement effective controls.
• Support security investment planning, budgeting, and vendor management.
• Guide remediation strategies and cost considerations for security initiatives.
• Align with vulnerability management, monitoring, incident response, and resilience programs.
• Provide leadership during security incidents and investigations.
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and threats.
