Job summary

TD Bank is seeking a Senior Product Owner for the Self-Serve track within the TD Easy Trade mobile app. This role focuses on expanding DIY capabilities, attracting new clients and activating existing ones, and translating insights into a focused self-serve roadmap.

You will own the full product lifecycle, work with diverse teams, and balance short‑term improvements with longer‑term platform goals in a regulated environment. Office presence is required four days a week.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree and/or product certificate required.
• 5+ years' Product Owner or relevant delivery experience a asset.
• Ability to translate customer needs into clear product vision, roadmaps, and backlogs.
• Proven experience owning and optimizing digital journeys, with account growth and usage targets.
• CSPO certification is a plus.

Job Description:

• The Senior Product Owner, Self-Serve is responsible for defining the vision and roadmap that deepens DIY capabilities within the TD Easy Trade mobile app for the next gen client. This role focuses on bringing new clients & activating existing clients, increasing app usage, and creating more value from the in-app experience by translating customer insights, research, data, and business priorities into a focused self-serve roadmap. Success requires strong judgment, stakeholder alignment, and the ability to balance near-term engagement optimization with longer-term platform and innovation goals within a regulated environment.
• Owns the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, from discovery and definition through delivery, launch, and ongoing optimization.
• Accountable for defining and evolving the product vision and roadmap in alignment with business strategy, customer needs, and market trends.
• Leads cross‑functional execution with Technology, Design, QE, Marketing, Data, and different Operations partners to deliver intuitive, high‑quality mobile experience for the TD Easy Trade app.
• Uses quantitative and qualitative insights (analytics, experimentation, client feedback, market research) to identify self‑serve opportunities and inform decisions that will drive the TD Easy Trade roadmap.
• Maintains and prioritizes a product backlog focused on increasing acquisition, improving activation, feature adoption, and overall client satisfaction.
• Balances short‑term TD Easy Trade mobile optimization opportunities with longer‑term platform, scalability, and innovation initiatives.
• Owns self‑serve‑related KPIs (e.g., new account growth, day‑0 funding & trading rates, 30 day funding rate, feature adoption) and drives measurable improvement against targets.
• Ensures solutions meet regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements while maintaining a simple, seamless experience suitable for our next‑gen clients
• Identifies and resolves delivery risks, dependencies, and impediments impacting the mobile roadmap.

Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree and / or product certificate required
• 5+ years' Product Owner or relevant delivery experience an asset
• Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs and business objectives into clear product vision, roadmaps, and well‑prioritized backlogs.
• Proven experience owning and optimizing digital journeys, with accountability for account growth, funding & trading usage.
• Creating product distribution strategy, setting business targets, assessing performance against targets and identifying market and competitive opportunities to continuously grow the business.
• Strong track record of driving measurable outcomes through data‑informed product decisions, using analytics, experimentation, and customer feedback to guide prioritization
• Experience leading cross‑functional product teams to deliver complex initiatives across Product, Technology, Design, Marketing, Data, and Operations.
• Strong understanding of mobile app UX principles and what constitutes a high‑quality & intuitive client experience.
• Proven understanding of wealth management and financial product offering(s) and current processes for digital & assisted channel sales
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to align diverse partners and make clear trade‑off decisions.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience considered an asset
