Our flagship product, SD Elements, helps organizations to reduce cyber risks by taking an automated, developer-centric approach to threat modeling, secure development, and compliance. This, combined with our industry-leading e-Learning offerings, allows us to support our customers in accelerating software time-to-market without sacrificing security.

As Senior Product Manager of our Secure Design Platform, SD Elements, you’ll be reporting to the Director, SD Elements. Your focus will be to work with your peers in product and engineering team to bring new features to life for our customers. This includes interviewing customers, talking to internal stakeholders in sales, support and marketing, writing user stories, managing a backlog of features, helping to create and execute on product roadmaps, and working with our user experience team to define the user experience.

Our ideal candidate would be based in the Greater Toronto Area but we are open to candidates across Canada. We are a remote-first company with a head-office in Toronto. We don’t mandate team members to come in on a particular schedule, however we encourage team members to come into the office to foster connection with their colleagues on a schedule that works for them personally.

What you’ll do

• Deeply understand our customer base and secure by design strategy
• Translate high level vision into an executable strategy and roadmap
• Attend scrum meetings including stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and user experience reviews and demos.
• Own a portion of the overall SD Elements product roadmap:
  • Work closely with the product team and senior management to define the high-level roadmap of SD Elements
  • Meet with clients directly to solicit feedback on features and roadmap vision
  • Track customer needs and translate business problems to product enhancements
• Work with Revenue and Marketing teams to support creation of sales and marketing collateral plus training and enablement material that you will present to customer facing teams
• Work with Project Management teams to ensure successful delivery of new features that are coordinated across departments

What you’ll need tosucceed

• 5+ years of experience in a product management role with experience developing products for enterprise environments
• Ability to deeply understand customer problems and to address them with user stories for consumption by the development team.
• Ability to closely work with engineering to execute against the roadmap efficiently
• Proven ability to collaborate across the business and across the feature lifecycle, from field facing teams, to marketing, to customer support.
• Experience working with product data and analytics to inform business decisions
• Nice to have: Application Security domain experience

What does the interview process look like?

• Phone InterviewYou’ll start with a 15–20-minute phone screen with someone from our Recruitment team to learn more about your background and goals for your next role
• Technical Interview You'll be meeting members of our Product and Engineering teams to learn more about your product management experience
• Practical Assessment You’ll be given a case study to read over to discuss in the next round
• Hiring Manager InterviewYou’ll meet with the Hiring Manager for a deeper conversation about the practical exercise and also discuss team dynamics, and how you can make an impact
• Culture-Add Interview– This is a 30-minute virtual meeting with either our Chief People & Culture Officer or CEO to learn how your values align with our CCOAR values of Customer Focus, Collaboration, Ownership, Authenticity and Respect.

The listed salary range reflects base pay and may vary based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skill level. Final compensation will be determined after evaluating each applicant’s unique background and skills for the role.

GTA pay range

$130,000 - $150,000 CAD
