Purpose:

As the Senior Product Manager, Salesforce/nCino (a SAAS platform), you will contribute to the overall success of the Digital Transformation of the Commercial Banking roadmap and drive a dedicated backlog with partners in Commercial Banking, Business Banking, Retail & Small Business, Operations, and Engineering. You will oversee the rollout of an industry leading digital experience, and be responsible for engaging stakeholders, incorporating feedback from contributors, prioritizing key features and experiences, and more. You will be responsible to partner with the Salesforce/nCino Vendor, other product managers, functional SME’s, bank stakeholders, software engineers, and designers, to translate the user journeys into actionable, prioritized backlog deliverables and follow through to delivery. Critical to success in this role is the ability to build strong relationships with partners (both internal and external) and lead large-scale, multi-faceted programs. This role ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

1. Be a leader in agile product management, prioritize effectively and manage inter-dependencies across key scrum teams.
2. Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
3. Prioritize and manage a dedicated product backlog with partners across Commercial, Retail & Small Business, Engineering and Operations.
4. Partner closely with the Salesforce/nCino Vendor and Engineering teams to ensure a user experience across client segments that is logical, engaging, and accessible.
5. Partner closely with business stakeholder teams to ensure an effective operating and delivery model.
6. Mentor and engage junior Product Managers as required.
7. Use data to drive decisions, build hypotheses, test and iterate, and incorporate data and analytics strategies into the product roadmap.
8. Maintain a prioritized backlog, support the creation of detailed user stories, and participate in sprint planning and review activities. Engage with the scrum teams, clarify questions and drive decision making.
9. Plan for and consider reusability of Canada components in other markets across the Bank’s International footprint.
10. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
11. Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

1. Minimum 5 years experience in building customer facing digital products.
2. Managed a technology product or a digital journey end to end, from inception to delivery.
3. Strong understanding of the Retail/Small Business or Commercial Banking business lines including policies and processes, servicing models and products.
4. Ability to build trusted relationships, instill confidence and influence stakeholders.
5. Experience with financial products and services in Canadian Banking, Commercial Banking experience considered an asset.
6. Master of identifying and solving ambiguous problems to drive customer and business value.
7. Knowledgeable about multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Agile/Scrum, Engineering, UX/UI Design, Finance.
8. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
9. Curious and experimental mindset to drive innovation.
10. Great verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels in the organizations.
11. Salesforce FSC experience considered an asset.
12. Engineering, Computer Science or Business degrees considered an asset.
