About The Role

You will work closely with leadership, engineers, and customer success to lead in the following areas :

• Conceptualize, prototype, design, and pitch solutions and turn them into high-fidelity mockups
• Work closely with the product owner and engineers to build and ship product features
• Pitch product feature designs clearly and concisely to stakeholders
• Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and analysis
• Participate in design critique and product feature feedback meetings
• Use and leverage metrics to drive product design and measure product success
• Contribute to and help maintain our design system
• Work closely with our sales and success team to uncover user needs and pain points

About You

• You have experience leading the development of digital products from conception to launch
• You have startup experience, taking products through to Product Market Fit and funding rounds
• Designing developer tools is a passion of yours
• You consider business needs, implications, and practicality in your designs, balancing craft, speed, and bottom-line results
• You are a good listener, collaborative, and receptive to feedback
• You tell stories through words and visuals, strategizing the best way to communicate your ideas
• You can shepherd designs from concept through implementation
• You can work within a design system but know when to adapt or break it
• You are comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity in a startup environment
• You bring creative problem solving, iterating from low-fidelity sketches to high-fidelity designs using Figma
• You can use HTML and CSS as part of your design process, for prototyping or building your designs

Bonus Qualifications

• Understanding of Slack’s Block Kit
• Experience designing CLI tools or workflows
• Familiarity with GitHub / Gitlab and modern developer workflows
