About the Senior Product Designer Role

Were looking for a creative innovative and customerobsessed Senior Product Designer to join Float! In this role youll be responsible for building a seamless Corporate Spending experience and creating and capturing value by accelerating the adoption and usage of our existing products.

As the Senior Product Designer at Float youll

Work closely with our Product Management Engineering Operations Marketing and Sales teams to take products from broad concepts through implementation and launch.

Partner with our customers to gain a deep understanding of their experiences and needs identifying and filling product gaps while generating new ideas that empower them and drive growth. Discover additional methods to analyze customer feedback and measure product outcomes.

Own the look feel and experience of our userfacing application design flows and experiences ensuring theyre simple and elegant.

Ruthlessly prioritize and scope activities based on business and customer impact focusing on features that move the needle. Communicate the why behind the product roadmap prioritization and sequencing.

Develop and deliver mockups prototypes and detailed specifications to communicate design and interaction.

Take broad conceptual ideas and transform them into useful and valuable experiences for our customers.

Youll be great in this role if

Youve got the experience. Were looking for 7 years of Product Design experience preferably in B2B SaaS early to midstage startup environments. You understand modern frontend engineering tools and practices and how they work together to deliver a great experience.

You sweat the details. Youre extremely technically proficient in Figma. You build clean reusable components based on existing constraints and autolayout everything.

Youre comfortable with ambiguity. Youre spy and enjoy finding creative ways to work through obstacles. Youve taken ownership of the product experience before and have outstanding time management skills.

Youre a strategic thinker. You can create a vision and you know how to execute it. You leverage quantitative and qualitative data to analyze your work and consistently improve products.

You are an excellent crossfunctional communicator. You effortlessly connect with any team in an org especially Engineering. You possess astute influencing skills and you have the ability to bring multiple stakeholders together and problemsolve between various groups. You are a skilled listener who is able to understand and synthesize diverse perspectives and opinions.

Youve got an understanding of the market. Youve worked with accounting / finance related products or have worked closely with finance leaders. Youre commercially focused with an understanding of the market and the business were in. Youre no stranger to an ROI mindset.

Youre customer obsessed. Youre all about building relationships understanding customer needs and advocating for them passionately. You care about the details that matter to them.

Youre an owner. You take complete ownership and accountability of delivery and outcomes. You translate business requirements into technical specifications overseeing the development process and ensuring successful deployment. You are ready and willing to make tough decisions to achieve broader business goals and outcomes.
